Mandy and the girls just came and spent a couple of weeks here to get out of the snow and cold- the weather here was beautiful! Emma loves her bittie baby Isabelle and always brings her with her when she comes to visit, but she was ready for a doll with hair-I know a big step, but it was time. She got an American Girl doll that looked just like her and decided to name her Jane. The morning they were set to fly home she let me do her hair the same as Jane's with matching ribbons! Emma was so excited to take Jane home to show her dad- there was just one small problem- in the chaos to get everything in the car Jane got LEFT BEHIND!!! We didn't realize until we were almost to the airport- Emma had fallen asleep in the car and we searched frantically through all the luggage, but she was nowhere to be found! No one said anything to her at the airport while we were saying good-bye and finally Mandy told her while they were waiting at the gate for the plane. On the way home I got a phone call from her asking if we would make sure to take care of her doll and to make sure that she slept in-between Grandpa and I. So we took extra special care of Jane while she was here: With Grammies Young Women
On a Sunday drive with Grandpa- boy, does he drive FAST!
For FHE we went to Golden Spoon to get Grandpa his favorite frozen yogurt. Trixie insisted on sitting on my lap in the car and when I was done with my yogurt she licked my face clean!

I'm sure Emma will be relieved that Jane was taken such good care of! That is so sweet! Good thing you buckled her in....Lynn is pretty crazy!
You are such a cute Grandma!!!!
Jane is pretty lucky...i'd like to be forgotten in california and get to spend the week with you and dad! Very cute!! love you!
Good to see you back. I had the faith that you would make a return, I just didn't know when. Lynn can feel free to take me for a Sunday drive if it's in that car...and as long as he drives fast.
I know Michael would love to drive with Lynn in his fun car. On second thought, maybe we'd better keep him out of Lynn's car. One bad example is enough. Let's just hope Jane doesn't pick up on the fast driving thing! Don't tell Emma!
Weuse to have a project in our class where a parent took a doll and takes pictures of the doll all over the location they traveled. I finally got rid of the project because I began to feel jealous of the doll for going more places than I could ever dream of!!! So glad you are back.
We are having to check this daily to look at the pictures of Jane....Emma will be sad when Jane isn't at the top anymore!
Sorry...this is comment #2 from me, but I think it's so funny that Emma has to look at this post every day so she can see Jane! I have been laughing about that since I read it!
