CHAPTER FOUR: The Day Before!

Okay, I have been a total and complete slacker about blogging- to my defense in the four weeks since the wedding I've had a bbq for 23, 3 days at girls camp, helped Whit and Ryan get settled, a trip to San Francisco, and the 4th of July! Oh, and I read the 6th Harry Potter book! So back to the wedding. Chelsea and Lindsey felt bad that they didn't have a chance to do a shower for Whit so they arranged a little party for the day before. Chels made dozens of trips to Old Navy and got shirts for everyone then had them printed with a cute saying. We all (17) went to our favorite nail place and had "ManiPedi's" (as Aunt Debbie calls them) then lunch afterwards at the house. It was a really fun day to spend with sisters, aunts, bridesmaids, cousins, and friends. Emma totally loved having her nails done- she is such a girl! Whit's bridesmaids Sydney and Kat had sweatsuits made up for them too- I think it was a great way to spend the day before. So thanks Chelsea and Liz for the great time!! So finally next- THE WEDDING!!

My mom should have added too that for 17 women there was no drama! It was just so much fun, to all hang out! Emma had so much fun getting her nails painted and even let us pick out orange to match her dress instead of pink. I am just wondering in the count of 17 did you count Uncle Jeff...who also got a manicure!!!

Oh my brother is such a girl!!! Seeing those pictures brought back such fun memories. We really did have a good time and surprisingly for a Waalkes gathering, there was no drama!!! It really was such a fun couple of days. The only problem is that we did not get to stay long enough. Everyone had to get back to their lives which makes me a little sad. I wish our lives were such that we could get together more often. I think it is now up to David and Lindsey to arrange the next wedding.

It sounds like you guys had so much fun! I love all the T-Shirts, sweatsuits, etc. That's all stuff that I remember looking at when we were planning my wedding and thinking how fun it would be, but then never doing it. How are the newlyweds anyway?

Seeing those pictures reminds me of watching a "wedding story" on TLC. I love the matching shirts and sweatsuits! What a great, fun idea and day! If Michael was a girl, I would definitely make him let Robyn and I do the same thing for him!

When we come to California I'm going to have to have a manipedi done by someone who doesn't speak English, knows what she's doing, and doesn't require a 2nd mortgage to finance it. There...I've said my piece. Looks like so much fun!

Hi Aunt Susie-
Wow! Nice to see what you and your girls are up to. I guess we are all growing up. I haven't seen pictures of many of the Waalkes' in years. Thank you for finding my blog...

Hi Susie,
It was a nice surprise to hear from your Mom last week. I can see your lives are just as busy as ours have been--where does the time go--it makes me sad to think of all the missed opportunities. Stay in touch
